Launch of gamecrawler.co.uk

Posted by GG Goblin On June - 9 - 2009

New video game price comparison site getting gamers through the credit crunch.

Is it game over for expensive retail prices? An exciting new price comparison site, gamecrawler.co.uk launches this week offering savings of up to 60% on standard high street retail prices.

Gamecrawler.co.uk searches over 25 leading retailers in seconds to find the cheapest price, from leading players like Amazon, HMV, Game, Play.com and Gamestation.

All the leading video game formats are covered, and visitors can search for video game titles within seconds. If they’re unsure of the title they’re after they can also view the most popular games released within the last week, month or year.

The site also boasts a Price Watch feature, enabling you to register for free and ‘name your price’ for any fancied games. Gamecrawler.co.uk checks prices throughout the day and when your chosen game hits the price mark you’ve set you will receive an email alert. Additionally, you can keep tabs on any pre-order or future games, so you need never pay over the odds again.

Carl Warrent, creator of gamecrawler.co.uk explains, “The site’s been developed by gamers, for gamers. Whatever system you have – from Wii to PC to Playstation 3 – we can help save you money in these turbulent times! For example, you might pay around £29.99 for GTA: Chinatown Wars on the DS on the high street – but in the last few days we could have found it for you for less than £15.”

Gamecrawler.co.uk also builds a sense of community, with regular blog posts on video games news and opinion along with breaking bargains. A monthly newsletter will also keep gamers up to date with all the latest bargains and prices.
