The dark and brooding world of Max Payne will be returning this winter. Max Payne 3 is being published by Rockstar Games and will be available on Xbox360, PS3 and PC.

 
The game begins 12 years after the events of Max Payne 2. We find that Max has not aged well in this time. He is more tired looking, has gone bald and can be seen sporting a beard. He has left the NYPD and has been taking odd jobs in consultancy and security. When we catch up with him, he is providing personal protection to a wealthy family in Sao Paulo, one of the worlds most dangerous cities. Max discovers that trouble is still following him and finds himself drawn into Brazil’s deadly underworld.

 
The game itself will still feature many of the Max Payne trademarks that we have come to expect, such as bullettime and max’s painkiller addiction. New to the game will be the highly advanced close-quaters combat and the intelligent cover system.
