In what can only be described as an oversight of epic proportions, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite was omitted from this weeks “best games coming” article. For those new to the Monster Hunter series of games, the player creates a character and then completes quests. The idea is simple and has been seen a thousand times before. What makes the Monster Hunter games stand out is the sheer scale of the game. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite ships with some 400 missions providing over 500 hours of gameplay. Add to that the free content that can be downloaded and you are looking at a game that may never end! The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is simple to grasp, but complex enough to give a challenge.
