With so much info coming out of E3 this year, it can be easy to miss the announcement of your favorite games sequel or the “must have title”. So heres a quick lowdown on the major Xbox 360 games on the horizon.
Alan Wake (Remedy/Microsoft Game Studio)
An all new psychlogical thriller from the same guys that created Max Payne. Arriving in spring 2010 exclusively on Xbox 360 â€œAlan Wake will immerse players in an intense cinematic thrill ride of dreams and reality, where light is the only allyâ€.
Crackdown 2 (Ruffian Games/Microsoft Game Studios)
Crackdown 2, sequel to the award winning Crackdown, lets the player freely explore Pacific City in all of its glory. Be it alone or in multiplayer co-op mode, justice has to be served to the gangs that roam the city. Expect it sometime in 2010 exclusively on Xbox 360.
Forza Motorsport 3 (Turn 10/Microsoft Game Studios)
Coming this October, Forza Motorsport 3 will be bringing more than 400 cars to driving enthusiasts everywhere. Tune your car and then race on over 100 tracks taken from some of the worlds most renowned tracks and road courses.
Gears of War 2: Dark Corners (Epic Games Inc.)
As an add-on for the blockbuster game, Gears of War 2, Dark Corners brings 7 new multiplayer maps and a brand new campaign chapter, “Road to Ruin”. It is due to launch on Xbox LIVE marketplace on July 28th.
Halo 3: ODST (Bungie)
Halo 2: ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper) returns the player to the Halo universe to follow the story leading up to Halo 3 throught the eyes of aÂ special forces ODST. Including a full campaign and the full Halo 3 multiplayer experience (with 3 new maps), players will also be offered access to the beta of Halo: Reach multiplayer.
Joy Ride (Big Park/Microsoft Game Studios)
Joyride offers a free to download racing game for your avatars to compete in. With a track mode and stunt mode, players must work with the whole community to unlock rewards. Customise your ride and purchase new tracks, game modes and avatar items.
Left 4 Dead 2 (Valve)
Sequel to the zombie killing Left 4 Dead, this game offers melee weapons and new enemies along with 4 new survivors for you to guide to their safety.
Shadow Complex (Epic Games Inc. and Chair Entertainment Group/Microsoft Game Studios)
This side scrolling arcade title will bring hi-def graphics and cutting-edge gameplay to the world of Orson Scott Cardâ€™s best-selling novel, â€œEmpireâ€. Collect power-ups, discover new abilities and evolve your character into a force of destruction exclusiely on Xbox 360 and Xbox LIVE arcade.
Tom Clancyâ€™s Splinter Cell Convictionâ„¢ (Ubisoft)
Renegade agent Sam Fisher returns exclusively to Xbox 360 in this completely reinvented action game. Uncover a deadly terrorist plot as you immerse yourself in the life of the worlds most dangerous spy.
Final FantasyÂ® XIII (Square Enix)
Scheduled for release only in North America and Europe, Xbox 360 owners can enjoy this latest journey into the Final Fantasy universe including an evolved Active Time Battle system.
Modern Warfare 2 (Infinity Ward/Activision)
The sequel to “Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare” will see its release in November. Players will face off against a new threat dedicated to bringing the world to the brink of collapse.
The Beatles: Rock Band (Harmonix/MTV Games)
Journey through the career of legendary band “The Beatles” in this new Rock Band title. Offering new replica controllers modeled after instruments used by John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr throughout their careers, The Beatles: Rock BandÂ is due out in september of this year.
Tony Hawk: RIDE (Activision)
The new Tony Hawks game features an all new innovative skateboard controller allowing players to perform amazing tricks through movement and gesture.
