Lost Planet 2 Demo

Posted by TurtleGirl On August - 18 - 2009

Dare to return to E.D.N. III, and set foot back on the harsh world of Lost Planet! Starting 9am on Wednesday 19 August, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can join forces against a monstrous G-Type Salamander Akrid boss in Lost Planet 2.

This online co-operative shoot out is exclusive to Xbox Live Gold subscribers for an entire week, after which our Silver subscribers will be welcomed to test their nerve. As you’ll soon learn, the G-Type Salamander Akrid boss doesn’t go down too easily.

You’ll need every kind of weapon you can lay your hands on, while thinking strategically among squads of up to four players. Guns and ammo are scattered around the combat area, and you’ll have fun experimenting with the different kinds while figuring out the Salamander’s weak spots. Will you target its legs or choose to be swallowed, causing some serious indigestion by shooting your way out?!

Among numerous beam and projectile weapons, valiant players can climb inside a selection of Vital Suit robotic combat units. Just don’t go treating them as a safe haven because, from what we’ve seen so far, the old G-Type hates the sight of a VS more than anything!!!

Lost Planet 2 is the sequel to the 2.3 million selling Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. This long awaited sequel reveals more of the mysteries of E.D.N. III and takes place a decade after the first outing. The planet looks radically different thanks to the successful Terraforming work being carried out. Where there used to be nothing but ice and snow there are now jungles and even deserts.

Your actions affect the future of E.D.N. III as you experience six interconnected episodes – no two games will be the same. The upcoming Xbox Live demo is just a glimpse of the superb new multiplayer modes that include a co-operative campaign.
