PS3 loses weight, but gets bigger

Sony announced at Gamescom that a new slimmed down PS3 will be available from next month. The new hardware is substantially thinner and lighter than the original model. It will be boasting a 120GB HDD as standard, an improvement on the current 80GB model. In conjunction with the release of the new slim model, which will be priced at $299,  Sony will be reducing the price of the older 80GB model $299 and the 160GB model to $399. How this will translate to UK residents, we will have to wait and see. Here are some pics of the Slim PS3.ps3_controller_angle-b_600x758

    The PS3 80GB is now priced at £249.99. Not sure about the 160GB.
