Google Maps Come To Life
Everyone uses Google maps. I know I do when I’m wandering around completely lost looking for the next gaming event. Now it seems that Google Maps wants to come to real life now with the ‘Urban Cursor project’. The computer mouse cursor is probably the most recognized icons when it comes to Google Maps.
Seen at the cultural festival Ingravid, Catalunya,(spain) this project by Sebastain Champion is called Urban Cursor, and allows people in the real world to move a mouse cursor around and track their own movements in the digital world. It consists of a GPS device, so as individuals move it around and change its location, a map is being updated Online and changes can be tracked. I can see these appearing in London before long.
