Food is my next debate. As a child we are asked not to play with our food or roll them peas around the plate, but in Japan they see this as a new angle for a kind of fun factory toy that allows you to mess around with your food.

 

 
Bandai’s new anpanman sushi maker let’s you create edible faces of famous Japanese anime characters from food. The process is reminiscent of one of those Play-Doh machines you used to play with when you were a kid, extruding rolls of colorful food through templates of faces. Except this time, you’ll be eating actual food instead of Play-Doh or if you were like me putting it on the carpet at the time.
