Snuggle up with this Nintendo quilt, the maker of the quilt goes onto say on the forum
Inspired by all the Mario/Nintendo quilts and a big fan of the NES myself, I decided to make one for myself. Originally, it was only going to be a couple different characters…and then a couple more…and then a couple more. Finally when I decided to call it quits it was a good sixteen characters (each character was made up of 1.5″ squares and then appliquéd onto 2′ x 2′ squares of fabric). Then I decided Bowser would be a nice focal point being twice the size of all the original Mario characters (except princess and maybe toad). After all was said and done, this quilt turned out to be over 8′ X 10′ (including borders), so I decided to remove four of the characters (a cheep cheep fish, a green shell, a coin, and a feather…from Super Mario World) to make it roughly 8′ X 8′. The backing is just a black, king-sized flat sheet. I figure I’ll turn the other four squares that I removed into 2′ x 2′ pillows.
This truly awesome and I love the design. I would love to have this on my bed, it’s so cute!
