Level-5 announces a new entry in the Inazuma Eleven series enittled ‘Inazuma Eleven 3 – Challenge the World‘ and is set for release on the DS this summer in Japan.
Inazuma ElevenÂ is a role-playing and sports video game for the Nintendo DS developed and published by Level-5. It was released on August 22, 2008 in Japan.
A direct sequel to the game titled Inazuma Eleven 2 has been announced for the Nintendo DS, as well as a console version of the game titled Inazuma Eleven Break. A manga based on the game began serialization in CoroCoro Comic on May 15, 2008, while an anime based on the game produced by OLM started airing on August 22, 2008. Mitsui has also made plans for a Collectible card game tie-in. The game serves as the debut of a pop Idol group Twe’lv.
For the third game, Endo will be taking on the role of captain of a team called “Inazuma Japan” and will head off onto the world stage. Characters from past Inazuma Eleven games will team up with Endo for the new challenge. The team will be headed up by Michiya Kuon, a mysterious new coach. Again this maybe for Japanese audiences only.
