Win Halo 3 Limited Edition!

Posted by GG Goblin On June - 23 - 2010

With Halo: Reach rapidly approaching, what better way to celebrate than a spanky new limited edition copy of Halo 3?

Ahhh, the sun is glorious today. I love it when the sun is out. It lifts the spirits and reminds us that we do actually have a summer in this country, even if it is usually short lived. It also serves as a reminder that it will soon all be over, and then we will hit September. “What is so great about September?”, I hear you ask. Well, September 14th is the launch date for one of the most anticipated games of the year, Halo: Reach.

So, to celebrate this fact (and because I can’t think of any other reason) we have three limited edition copies of Halo 3 to give away, just to get you in the mood. Included within the unique metal case is the Halo 3 game, an illustrated hardcover guide to the species and cultures of the Halo universe, Gamer pics, a Dashboard theme and a fully playable version of a classic Halo-themed mini game. Good times.

To be in with a chance of winning one of these boxed sets for Xbox360, all you need to do is leave a comment below, telling us the following:

Master Chief, the star of the Halo series, is getting on a bit now and is facing retirement. Can you recommend a hobby that will keep his mind and/or body active through his twilight years?

This competition is open to UK residents over the age of 15 years only. Entry will close at Midnight on Monday 28th June 2010. The winners will be chosen at random and notified by email, so please use a real email address.

I would say Thai Chi as this is supposed to be great for flexibility, and can be doubled up as some kick ass martial arts moves.
But I think Master Chief would be better gardening; I can see him using his helmet as a hanging basket, turning on of his rifles into a watering device, and I think those goves he wears will protect him fom the roughest of thorns. When the summer comes he will have a bountiful crop, that’s if the ‘flood’ doesn’t ruin it all.

Playing video games can help to keep your mind active during your old age when you retire. Lot of video games require you to use logical thinking, playing video games for an active mind tends to involve the more stimulating brain training types that encourage you to work out your brain. So as it is .. playing video games can be an entertaining way to keep your mind relaxed and active :) .

Passing on his amazing military skills and discipline to youngsters. This would get him out of his retirement home for a couple of nights a week, He would enjoy a two week summer camp giving direction to his cadets during the day and socialising in the Officers Mess during the evening. A brilliant retirement hobby that would get him out and mixing with like minded people whilst still maintaining his military background.

There are extreme sports of all kinds, so you have to wonder, why not ironing? Master Chief could take up extreme ironing, involving ironing in extreme outdoor locations. He could do it on top of a snow-covered mountain, under water, in the desert … anywhere he can set up his ironing board. It takes stamina, athletic prowess and finesse to be able to iron properly under such extreme conditions. But don’t take my word for it, as ironing is something I haven’t done since 1997.
