Whisper your love for a game, don’t shout it.
For a while now, gaming t-shirts have been gaining in popularity. Not so long ago, a gamer really had to struggle to find a decent gaming shirt, something to show off their passion. Now though, you can barely move along the high street for the hordes of retro gaming shirts, proudly displaying Pacman, Space Invaders, Mario etc.
The problem is that now everyone is wearing them. You see a guy wearing a Street Fighter t-shirt, point out to him that it’s a cool shirt, hoping to share some of the camaraderie that can be found amongst gamers, and you get called a freak. It is best to not even mention the Pacman t-shirt being worn by a young lady. She is no gamer, and her angry boyfriend will not appreciate the extra attention you are paying to his girlfriend’s chest.
But worry not, gaming fashionistas, there is a solution. Insert Coin Clothing have released a range of gaming t-shirts for gamers. These are no ordinary gaming apparel, mind you. The slogans emblazoned across these tops are a little more subtle and will raise smiles amongst the passers by that are “in the know”.
Calber’s True English Ketchup – ring a bell? Me neither. It was not until I investigated that I found this logo to be inspired by the Ketchup that can be used by Snake in Metal Gear Solid. What about Quantum – Twice the Caffeine, Twice the Taste – straight out of Fallout 3. There are a selection of other shirts with various obscure logos, guaranteeing you membership to a very special club. The other designs are inspired by games such as Killzone 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil, Gears of War, Bioshock and Borderlands.
These t-shirts are available in a variety of sizes, with both a standard men’s cut and a more feminine cut, for the ladies. Unlike the majority of gaming t-shirts available on the market, these shirts are designed to a high specification, ensuring that they are better quality and won’t lose their shape after a couple of washes. I really cannot emphasise how good the quality is with these shirts.
