Something red, cute and sporting the Mario figure is in the distance..
Over in Australia they have a different way of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the famous plumber Mario and this is with a delightful “History of Super Mario Bros” caravan which parked itself at Parramatta in New South Wales, Australia. These photos were taken by a Vooks community member from Excite.
Even though it’s not the biggest caravan in the world, it was big enough to sport four HDTVs inside and each was then connected to a different consoles which included a NES,SNES, Nintendo 64 and Wii.
Inside the booth was a video camera , and according to Excite, people would then come along and share their memories of playing Mario games, and eventually their clips would be posted online for all the world to see.
I think it’s pretty amazing that people have gone to such a great effort to promote Mario’s anniversary. I love the design on the caravan and how people could just come and play and share their experiences. That’s real community spirit.
