Brains or Begonias?

Posted by GG Goblin On September - 7 - 2010

Whether you are a regular at the Chelsea Flower Show, or a member of the Zombie Appreciation Society, it’s time to get those gardening gloves on and prepare the mulch. Plants Vs Zombies hits XBLA tomorrow!

Those who have yet to experience Plants Vs Zombies, from Popcap Games, may feel a little underwhelmed when I describe it as a tower defence game. But, in reality, the game is so much more than that. The original game, released on PC, takes the player through level after level of zombies attacking your home. By using some genetically modified plants and vegetables, the player must fight back these waves of zombies in order to protect their home and their brain.

Tomorrow, the game finally hits XBLA. But not without a few changes. The core gameplay is still there with an extensive adventure mode, but now we get to experience the joy of Plants Vs Zombies in both co-op and Vs modes. Are those zombie hordes getting you down? Enlist a friend to help you take care of the undead menace. Fancy seeing things from the other side of the fence? Try out Vs mode and teach your plant-hugging opponent that plants are no match for zombies.

With a huge collection of mini games, 12 XBL achievements and the return of the Zen Garden, there really is no reason not to invest. Plants Vs Zombies will be available on XBLA tomorrow for 1200MSPoints.
