EA had a great selection of exciting and interesting titles which included; The Sims 3 Console, The Sims 3 Fast Lane, Hasbro Family Game Night 3, Monopoly Streets, Littlest Pet Shop Online, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, Create, Spare Parts, Fifa 11., Active 2, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and EA mobile. The majority of the games I had already played and seen at Gamescom, but I tried my hand at a few at the event.
I had been dying to try out The Sims 3 Console, due to the fact that when I was out in Gamescom it was always busy, although I did get a chance to play The Sims 3 on the Nintendo DS while I was out there. EA had put on a splendid event in which all the consoles were set out and children sat quietly on bean bags being entertained by Monopoly Streets or the Littlest Pet Shop Online.
It was a really good event. While I was standing there playing ‘Spare Parts’, a giant My Sims agent character surprisingly came out of the back door and slowly made his way around the event area. I tried to get my camera out quick, as I would have loved to have my photo taken with him, but alas I was too late. It would of made a terrific twitpic.
I played a couple of the games there, spending a vast amount of time with Sims and Monopoly Streets. I was surprised how much attention certain games accumulated as I made my way around the individual consoles. I had a great time trying out the new titles and will be excited when it comes around to Christmas time so I can play them once again. Previews of some of the games will be available to read this coming week, so keep your eyes open for them.
