Win the best games industry job in the world

Posted by TurtleGirl On September - 16 - 2010

Have you got what it takes?

The London Games Festival is offering one person the opportunity to win the best games industry job in the world, attending every relevant event under the festival umbrella, and having their blogs published on the official website.

The London Games festival kicks off at a VIP opening on September 30th 2010, the eve of the Eurogamer Expo. The winners of the all-you-can-eat London Games Festival ticket will rub shoulders with the game’s industry’s finest, gaining exclusive access to a selection of games from the show the day before the event opens to the public.

The full festival programme has yet to be announced, but the events confirmed so far include the prestigious Golden Joystick Awards, the MCM Expo, and an amazing one-in-a-lifetime day at Chessington World of Adventures. The lucky winners will have access to each relevant event (travel and expenses included) – with their thoughts appearing on the festival website throughout.

“This is a truly unique prize,” says Kirsty Payne, director, London Games Festival. “We’re looking for two enthusiastic gamers, who are keen to join the games industry, to become the festival’s official ‘voice’. This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring writers and bloggers – not just to see the inner workings of all aspects of the games industry, but to get their work in front of a global audience.”

To enter, send an email to kirsty.payne@ukie.info, outlining in 200 words or fewer why you would be ideal candidates for the best games job ever. You must be in or around London throughout the festival. Travel costs will be covered, along with basic expenses.

The London Games Festival is an all-inclusive event for consumers and trade alike, running from September 30th through until November 4th. It is held in association with UKIE, the game’s industry’s trade association.
