Posted by GG Goblin On October - 15 - 2010

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole ia an animated feature film telling the story of a group of warrior Owls as they face an evil threat. To coincide with the movie, there are video games released on most formats. We have three of the DS versions to give away.

Developed by Tantalus Media, the game puts players in control of one of these warrior Owls and challenge them with the mission to uncover a new threat to the Owl population. This aerial combat game features 3D graphics and fast, frantic in-air battles. Fans of the film will be immersed in this recreation of the Owl world.

I believe pigeons are clever, I don’t known if it is classed as an animal, but to find your way home without a map or compass is really difficult.

Horses, illustrated in the following poem,

Where in this wide world can man find nobility without pride,
    Friendship without envy,
    Or beauty without vanity?
Here, where grace is served with muscle
    And strength by gentleness confined
He serves without servility; he has fought without enmity.
There is nothing so powerful, nothing less violent.
There is nothing so quick, nothing more patient.
England’s past has been borne on his back.
All our history is in his industry.
We are his heirs, he our inheritance.

  5. Maya R. Said,

The African grey parrot has been proven to have the intelligence of a human child between the ages of 5-7. They can solve basic problems and, strangely, they can also organise things into colour coordination. Parrots are also the only living creature other than humans that can talk. Although it is only imitation it is very clever!

  28. Julie K Said,

Humpback whales – Male humpbacks sing mainly during the mating season, but it is not known whether the song is used to attract females or to ward off other males. At any one moment, all the males in a population sing the same song. Over time the song slowly evolves into something new, with all the whales making exactly the same changes to their pattern of singing. How smart is that! And we think the Xfactor is good!?

The Bee because bees communicate by means of movement. For example, when bees return to an area where there were many flowers, they will perform a dance on the honeycomb. Movements and vibration frequencies show the bees the direction and distance of the floral area.

  37. Lee Said,

The cleverest animal i think must be the great al’mighty dolphin.

I turned thirteen last week and i got a book about dolphins,

There is this story that a man, who was being attacked by sharks was saved, a group of 5 dolphins made a circle around the man and scared the 2 sharks away.

Dolphins attract fish by swirling in the water causing a false wall of mud. then the dolphins ive in and eat them

They are also one of the very few animals which can commincate.

    Go dolphins.

    Thankyou very much.
    Lee wildish

Chameleons as they are such a clever design being able to change their skin colour to suit their surroundings, and show their emotions, they have a super long tongue with a sticky end to catch things they are not speedy enough to catch. Despite being nearly deaf they but can hear tones and feel vibrations to keep them safe and help them find food. Their eyes gives them a full 360-degree arc of vision around their body.
    COOL!

Posted on October 19th, 2010 at 11:36 am

  65. Kris Taylor Said,

Pigs are the most intelligent because:

They lead complex social lives that behaviorists once believed to be true only of primates.
Mother pigs sing to their piglets while they are nursing.
They excel at video games that would be hard for a young child, and sometimes better than the primates.
    Pigs dream.
Pigs have a good sense of direction, and can find their way home from long distances.
They learn from watching one another.
Pigs outsmart each other. One will often follow another pig to food before grabbing it away from him, and the pig who was tricked will change behaviors to reduce how many times it is tricked.

    So there
