Spain is proud to unveil it’s very first Super Mario Street after the famous Nintendo plumber in Zaragoza, northeast Spain. Passers by were sporting fake black mustaches as Super Mario did some dancing along the street. It all happens in Spain, doesn’t it?.
The famous theme tune from the Nintendo game was played out by a violin and cello player and spanish people could see the sign posted ‘Avenida de Super Mario Bros‘ for everyone to see. Other streets in the area may be called “Sonic the Hedgehog,” “Space Invaders” and “The Legend of Zelda.” The Super Mario street stretches a kilometre long and will have hundreds of houses on it. This is pretty awesome, so when are the UK going to name some famous video game streets?. I’m thinking, probably never. The spanish should feel very lucky at the moment.
