Inspired by the Nintendo’s Famicom console, this rather stylish and retro custom Scion Famicom car was designed by Giant Robot magazine publisher Eric Nakamura.
It certainly brings 8-bit style to the forefront in terms of design. It features a special NES cart for the ignition key, an arcade button for the starter. It’s toy style is quite boxy and the projectors are used for playing games at the rear and front and the doors can be used as buttons.
Listen to the noise of the doors when they pop open?. Recognise that tune?. Even the seatbelts have controllers, which can be used. It’s seriously out of this world. How terrific is that?.
I even love all the car seat fabric. The video shows it off more than words, so take a hop, skip and jump to the video to check it out. This was displayed at Pixel Pushers as part of an 8-bit art exhibit.
