Dead Island

Posted by GG Goblin On February - 17 - 2011

The game with the trailer that has everybody talking. Watch it for yourself below.

Dead Island, being developed by TechLand and to be published by Deep Silver, is a zombie slasher that takes place on an open world tropical island. This first person action game has a heavy focus on melee combat, character development and customization of a vast array of weapons. Players are trapped on the tropical island amidst a zombie outbreak and must survive long enough to find a way off the island. The gritty campaign can be played with up to four players in co-op mode.

Dead Island will be released later this year for Xbox360, PS3 and PC.

Here we have the trailer about which everyone is talking. Is it too shocking? or just incredibly well mad? Watch the trailer and decide for yourself -

  2. Conan Said,

I have this on my site as well. lol. It is a great trailer, something that is different, emotional and that (if was from a film) would be a different kind of zombie to others. As for the game, i have no doubt it will be another pointless kill millions of zombies game like left for dead. If they leave out emotional impact then this game will be a waste of time.

I agree, the trailer is incredible but the game will likely be another bog standard zombie slasher. Don’t get me wrong, I really hope that it isn’t and I hope that they will be able to instill at least some of the emotional impact from the trailer into the game. But realistically, ignoring the brilliant trailer and taking into account the rather uninspired title of the game, first impressions will probably be correct.
