Exercise More Than Your Thumb

Posted by GG Goblin On March - 31 - 2011

Gamers will no longer need boring fitness games to get their exercise. The U-Move Nunchuk Controller from Blaze will turn many ordinary Wii games into a sweat inducing work-out.

Looking like a normal Nunchuk controller, albeit with a built-in pedometer which may give the game away, the U-Move Nunchuk Controller acts just like you would expect. That is until you hit the special switch which then turns it into a full-on workout when playing your regular games.

Players are required to move (by either jogging on the spot or by moving your arms around) to generate “energy” for your on-screen character – when you aren’t “moving” your thumb stick becomes “disabled” and your character will stop moving! In effect, you become part of the game and need to “run” if you want your character to run!

The controller is compatible with any game that uses the thumb stick to control movement, including:

- Call Of Duty
- Pro Evolution Soccer
- Super Mario Galaxy 2
- Donkey Kong Country Returns
- Golden Eye 007
- NHL 2011
- Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2
- FIFA 2011
- NBA Jam
- The Lord of The Rings Aragon’s Quest
- Resident Evil 4
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Metroid Prime 3

Check out the video below to see the device in action. The U-Move Nunchuk Controller is available from Blaze for £19.99.
