Finally a use for that electric guitar that is sitting in the corner of the room from when you decided you were going to be a long-haired rocker.
Rocksmith, from Ubisoft, plans to take the music video-game genre to the next level by letting players use their very own guitar, providing it has a quarter-inch input jack, rather than making them buy silly plastic guitar peripherals. The game, which will be available for Xbox360, PS3 and PC, will have a decent library of songs and adjust the game to the player’s skill level, making it ideal for hardened rock-gods and novices alike.
“Rocksmith is the most authentic and addictive music game ever created,” said Geoffroy Sardin, HQ Chief Marketing & Sales Officer at Ubisoft EMEA. “Whether a beginner or a seasoned guitarist, players can progress at their own speed and walk away from the game with the ability to play songs by memory. Rocksmith is the only video game that gets players stage-ready.”
