The mother of recently arrested hacker Ryan Cleary from the hacking group called LulzSec who brought organizations like Sony to their knees has revealed that Ryan has not set foot outside the family home since Christmas and had his food left outside his bedroom door.
He would only leave his bedroom to visit the bathroom. Mrs Cleary attempted to cut the internet off from the teenager, but he responded by saying he would slit his wrists. Ryan Cleary will appear in court today accused of carrying out cyber attacks against the UK’s Serious Organised Crime Agency.
Ryan will face five offences under the Criminal Law and Computer Misuse Acts. Mrs Cleary has revealed that Ryan suffered from agoraphobia and attention deficit disorder. He is charged with conspiring with other people to create a series of DDos attacks, where websites are literally flooded with traffic to make them crash. Mrs Cleary also says that he was encouraged to leave the house, even to try and sign-on. Ryan, who is described as a recluse, was excluded from primary school aged five because of his disruptive behaviour. He went from school to school after being excluded several times and was seen by various psychologists with no diagnosis. Mrs Cleary describes Ryan as completely fearless, as he would leap into the path of traffic and set fires in various parts of the house just to see what happened. Ryan has attempted suicide aged ten, as she found him hanging from his bunk bed with the belt of his dressing gown around his neck, but later revived by his mother. Ryan will appear in court today facing five charges under the Criminal Law and Computer Misuse Acts.
