When I first took a glimpse of these, I thought they were wonderful. Another win moment, if you’re a collector of all things Zelda. I would purchase them, if it wasn’t for the fact that my desk is filled with video game memorabilia.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Blister Package Collection Mini Figures are a set of 6 capsule toys that were released in the United States by Tomy Yujin for $1 each. The exact date of their original release is unknown, but we do know they were available in 2002. The toys are based on characters from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, an action adventure game that was released for the Nintendo 64 in 1998.
These collectible mini figures could be found inside capsule toy machines in select malls and shopping centers for a limited time. The figures cost $1 each and the machines only accepted quarters, so you had to insert 4 quarters to receive a toy. Because they were all packed inside the machine at random, there was no way to choose which character you’d get.
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Blister Package Collection Mini Figures are, in a word, tiny. The blister packaging itself is only 5 centimeters tall and the figures inside vary in height. The six characters and approximate sizes are:
* Young Link playing the Ocarina of Time (3 centimeters tall)
* Adult Link standing (3.25 centimeters tall)
* Young Zelda sitting down (2 centimeters tall)
* Adult Zelda standing (3.5 centimeters tall)
* Ganondorf standing (3.25 centimeters tall)
* Poe (2 centimeters tall)
This set contains the only official Poe figure from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
