It’s safe to assume that Electronic Arts is geared towards more video games coming to the mobile rather than handhelds.
When we first think of handhelds we’ll usually thinking the Nintendo 3DS or the PlayStation Vita. They seem the obvious choice, but judging from a recent EA showcase in New York, most of the upcoming titles included ; NHL 12, Burnout Crash and Battlefield 3.
It seems that the company devoted a large portion of the room to mobile gaming. EA and Chillingo showcased a selection of games, including Need for Speed SHIFT 2: Unleashed, Madden NFL 12, Rope Rescue and Dream Track Nation. Apparently ten mobile games were on display, but only one for the 3DS, which was FIFA Soccer 2012. While we don’t know what EA has in store for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS, if any, we’ll not sure whether they find the Vita and 3DS platforms worth investing in.
