Square Enix have announced Dragon Quest X will be released for the Nintendo Wii and Wii U. It’s been officially titled Dragon Quest X Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku, which will be a Dragon Quest game Online RPG called ‘Dragon Quest X: Rise of the Five Tribes’
Players will form parties and co-exist with other players in an online world. Dragon Quest X will be available on the Wii U. The DS version and Wii U will be cross compatible, so players on either version will exist in the same world. Dragon Quest X will have some connectivity with the Nintendo 3DS.
At the press conference, Square Enix said they are thinking about a system where the players could transfer theur character to the 3DS for doing SpotPass data exchanges. Dragon Quest X will release some time in 2012. There is some suggestion that the RPG may have subscription charges, but this information has not been confirmed as of yet. Square Enix also shared release dates for Slime Mori Mori Quest 3 and Itadaki Street Wii. The first will be released on the 2nd November and priced at ¥6,090 and Itadaki Street will be released on the 1st December, priced at ¥6,090. The official Dragon Quest X website opened in Japan today.
