According to Kotaku Australia, a source from EA’s Visceral Studios in Melbourne has informed staff that the studio will be closing on Monday. This could be just a rumor, but it’s worrying times if this is the case for the studio.
 

EA’s Visceral Games have been working on an unknown AAA game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for the past couple of years until management pulled the plug on the project and the studio. We are aware that everywhere is on an economic meltdown due to the recession, could this be a resulting factor?. Patrick Soderland from DICE, who is vice president of EA’s Games Label decided that the game would not be profitable and decided to ditch the project. We’ll unsure what to believe at this current time and this could be pure speculation.
