There are many reasons why I respect the Japanese. One of those reasons is their passion and love for video games, they have a huge respect for their country and it’s people and they really do come out with some strange and bizarre gadgets. Mainly ones that send us away feeling confused or slightly perplexed.
Just hold your imagination for one moment while I describe something about this next gadget called ‘The Phantom Sensation‘.
If you could imagine playing Call of Duty and then experience the feeling of being shot or stabbed, would it enrich the experience or just cause some mild discomfort?. If it caused your experience of video games to become more of a personal experience, would you try out this vibrating gadget from Japan? A research group at the University of Electro-Communications in Japan has taken advantage of this gadget and created a device that can be used to simulate the feeling of an object passing through your body. By strapping two vibrating motors to the top and bottom of your hand, this gadget can make you feel like a ball is falling straight through your hand and out the other side by carefully changing the frequency and intensity of the vibrations. If the motors get cranked up high enough, the researchers think that they can even simulate the feeling of being shot or stabbed, We don’t endorse violence, but it’s certainly an interesting gadget.
