Sitting around in a waiting room can be boring and tedious at times. A group of people from a creative outfit called ‘21tanks‘ decided they wanted to spruce up it’s reception area and make it more interesting for their guests.
They set up an old monitor, which connects to a Game Boy and then they created the housing for it complete with a giant D-pad and two buttons. The controls are wired to an Arduino contro, board that receives button presses and sends serial commands to a PC running a python script. Meanwhile, the PC runs the games off of Pica Pic in a web browser, using the Arduino based buttins in place of a keyboard. That’s certainly one way to keep your guests entertained. Can you imagine playing Donkey Kong Jr Game & Watch on it?
