Nintendo 3DS extended slide pad in Daylight Conditions

Posted by TurtleGirl On September - 15 - 2011

We haven’t really seen the new Nintendo slide pad in daylight conditions, but Engadget seemed to have the first real impression of the Nintendo 3DS slide pad in the daylight in their hands, when they stopped by a Capcom representative showing off the product.

We’ll talking about the new Nintendo peripheral, not the Capcom girl’s cleavage, now concentrate. From the photographs, the cradle itself does look extremely bulky, but is finished with smooth contoured surfaces for you to grip. The right hand circle pad apparently feels just as solid as the handhelds dedicated pad. In the daylight we can see how the Nintendo 3DS extended slide pad looks from all angles. To me personally, I still feel it’s a bit on the chunky side. Worth investing in or just a gimmick?

Not very sexy and bulky but when you have Monster Hunter 3 and 4 announced on the Nintendo 3DS it all make sense.

Could this be the configuration possibly for a 3DS XL next year? I’d love it!

3DS seems to be outselling all earlier introduced Nintendo hardware in numbers (DS, Wii etc) even if the prognosis for the first year was too optimistic, as usual. The 3DS is looking great with all the new games coming out! I’ll certainly get this add on. Thanks for the pics.
