What is a Sony PocketStation?

Posted by TurtleGirl On October - 3 - 2011

What on earth is a Sony PocketStation? Good question, because this little gadget never quite made it across the pond to the UK. In fact, this is the very first time I’ve ever heard of it.

Basically a PocketStation is a mini PDA which came with a 32 x 32 pixel LCD screen and came complete with games like Final Fantasy VIII that could be transferred via a memory card slot. Unfortunately it never quite reached the UK, and there was a high demand for it in Japan. Check out the size of this pint-sized gadget. The white and clear ones are standard colours, while the black came bundled in a limited edition Yu-Gi-Oh game and the pink with a limited edition Tokikeki Memorial game. It’s really strange how we missed out on this gadget, but it obviously wasn’t meant to be for the west.
