Life-Size Samus Artwork Made From Video Game Catridges

Posted by TurtleGirl On November - 29 - 2011

This is absolutely extraordinary. Up for auction on Ebay is this life-sized Samus artwork that has been made entirely from video game cartridges. It depicts Samus from the Metroid video game franchise shooting her arm cannon.

The cartridges consist of Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo, GameBoy, and Nintendo 64 cartridges. Samus stands tall at 5 feet 8 inches on the diagonal. The artwork is 66″ wide (5.5 feet) and 48″ tall (4 feet).  The cartridges are 3 dimensional so the piece sticks out from the wall 8″ at the tallest point.

The piece weights about 150 lbs when packaged and will be shipped via ground with plenty of packing material to keep it safe. That’s a whole lot of game catridges!
