According to Develop Online, Jurassic Park developers have been caught abusing the Metacritic user score. Gamespot, which exposed the botched situation, also claims it hadn’t received early review codes from Telltale.
It was noted that two developers employed at the Californian studio TellTale Games, wrote very pleasing reviews for the new game under the guise of impartial consumers. An artist at Telltale and a cinematic artist, both gave their game a perfect user score on reviews aggregator Metacritic. In their user reviews they described the game as a mix between ‘Heavy Rain & LA Noire‘ and then appears to have made the same comment just two days later in a separate review under a different name. Five perfect score user reviews were published within two days of the game’s release. At the same time, there had been only a single authorised professional review published on the site.
