After looking at my ipad 2 and then back to the this photograph and then back to my ipad 2 again, I kept imagining what a 65-inch LCD Android tablet would possibly feel like, even though mine is Apple. Considering the size of this tablet compared to my little ipad 2, I’m still quite astonished that companies are making gadgets and technology on such an epic scale, but it’s happening more and more.
The Istanbul-based company Arbic showed their recent prototype off, which uses a 10 inch Android tablet to power up a 65-inch LCD with 1080p support for things like pinching and zooming. The display has two touch sensors and is powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 SoC. It’s also got 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of flash memory, dual cameras, HDMI, USB, microSD and 3G and Wi-Fi. A dock enables connectivity with the OEM TV, including HDMI for video and audio, and USB for touch input. Impressed? You should be, as it’s been reported the company is working with education and enterprise companies to bring it into production. Let’s hope it doesn’t need a protective case.
