Move aside X-Factor, Crazy Dave from Plants Vs Zombies is heading for this years Christmas number one single.
The undeniable star of PopCap’s Plants Vs Zombies, usually seen selling Zombie defeating goods from the back of his car, earlier this year was signed to the Dead Jam record label, re-branded as Cray-Z and released his first music video “Wabby Wabbo”.
It has been announced that the single is available now on iTunes for just 79p and all proceeds from the sale of the track between December 18th and 24th will be donated to the charity Concern Worldwide. But perhaps even more important is that if enough singles are sold, Cray-Z could push the X-Factor off the top spot in the UK charts – something I think we all can support!
Crazy Dave has effectively taken the hip-hop rule book, covered it with ketchup, eaten it whole and come up with a whole new take on the genre. Wabby Wabbo is a ‘unique’ hip-hop track that has the effect of getting stuck in your brain and refusing to leave for weeks. Another first, Wabby Wabbo is believed to be the first hip-hop single ever released to feature a yodelling solo by a Yeti zombie.
