The motorbike racing, stunt performing, platforming action of Joe Danger will be hitting XBLA this week with a “special edition”.
Joe Danger, in which players take on the role of the washed up stunt rider from the title, proved to be a massive success for indie developers Hello Games when it launched on PSN. But this week, Xbox360 owners need no longer look on in jealousy as the game is finally being released on XBLA as “Joe Danger Special Edition” for 1200 MSPoints.
Beyond the stunt-filled, item collecting fun of the original PSN game, this “special edition” has a few features that make it special, not least of which is “The Lab”, a series of short, technical levels that are sure to challenge any would-be master of speedy, platform, stunt-riding. Just check out the playtesting of one Lab level in the video below and you will see what I mean -
But Hello Games has not stopped there in their attempts to make this special edition truly special. There is 15 more hours of gameplay packed in with 10 new playable characters and a collection of “Pro Medals” that are hidden through the game for ingenious players to collect and get free stuff, such as a flying pink monkey character or Joe’s helmet of power for your Avatar.
Joe Danger Special Edition will be launching itself onto XBLA this Wednesday, December 14th, in a cloud of fireworks and flailing limbs.
