Capcom have announced that Resident Evil 6 is being developed for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The Japanese console versions are due for release on the 22nd November in Japan and 20th November in North America and Europe. The game will be priced ¥7,990 in Japan.
The PC version has yet to be announced. Resident Evil 6 will continue with past characters Leon S Kennedy and Chris Redfield. The storyline begins 10 years after the events of Raccoon City as the President of the United States plans to unveil the truth behind the incident with friend and survivor Leon at his side. The venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, transforming the President beyond recognition. In the mean time, Chris arrives in China, which just so happens to be also experiencing a bioterrorist attack. In a US Press Statement today, executive producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi said.
“From the outset the team’s intention was to create an experience that delivers a gripping storyline, tense single-player and co-op action all set against a constant theme of horror. We are calling this fusion dramatic horror and are confident it will resonate with both existing fans of the series as well as newcomers.”
