Sculptor Kerry Dyer who was inspired by a Garrus artwork piece sent by a friend, decided to construct these series of custom made Mass Effect turian figures.
After choosing the images, she made a rough armature using aluminium wire and rigid Plastazote, which she then covered in a thin layer of Super Sculpey and baked for a couple of minutes. This created a solid form to sculpt over, when the Plastazote shrinks in the oven. There are various stages of the process of the construction of these figures, which can be seen on her blog. You must admit they are pretty impressive.
