The Legend of Zelda Life-Sized Papercraft Link

Posted by TurtleGirl On January - 17 - 2012

To look at this Link Papercraft, you wouldn’t think he was made up of 250 pages of paper, but he does!  This life-sized Link model stands tall at 5′5. He’s been constructed completely from 250 gsm paper He’s got foam core supports in the top and bottom of his trousers, top and bottom of his boots and a ring in his waist. There is also some in the back of his shield, and in the handle of the master sword.

This Link is fully mobile and  can be easily unassembled for transportation. His head, torso, legs, sword, shield, and sheath are all separate. The sword can also be put into the sheath or into his hand. He can stand all on his own without any support.

Link is made from 250+ pages, the initial template is 198, but there are layers of strips of paper inside for support, and 831 pieces. He’s been made by DeviantArtist stuioofmm aka MichaelaI and she worked on him constantly for a month, working approximately 12 hours each day but sometimes that number could go up to 20. It’s the most extraordinary masterpiece in papercraft we’ve seen in some time and it just goes to show you what you can produce, when you set your mind to it.
