Most people will be heading to their local videogame store to pick up their copy of Mass Effect 3 when it launches. But a lucky few will be able to get the game early by simply watching the skies.
EA are set to launch copies of the game into the stratosphere, strapped to weather balloons. The planned launch is set to take place next week in New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Berlin, London and Paris. Each of the games will be fitted with a GPS tracker and gamers will be able to track their location on Masseffect.com. Eventually these games will return to Earth and anyone lucky enough to find one of the crash sites will be able to enjoy this “gift from the heavens” before they hit the stores.
Personally, I am just waiting for the news stories of people getting stuck in trees or trespassing on other peoples properties to get one of these high flying copies of the game. This could be interesting…
