GAME and gamestation, the UK’s leading game retailers and official launch partner for PlayStationVita, are getting set for a night of gaming fun to remember with the launch of Sony’s new handheld console, PlayStationVita. Opening the flagship stores at midnight on Tuesday 21st February for this hotly anticipated launch, GAME and gamestation customers will be the first in the country to get hold of their own PS Vita consoles.
GAME’s flagship store on Oxford Street will be holding the official UK midnight launch where gaming fans will be treated to exclusive meet and greets with WipEout 2048 developers Karl Jones and Ami Ledger who will be signing copies of the game that is one of the many fantastic titles that will be available on PS Vita at launch.
The PlayStationVita Mobile Team will also be on hand to provide sampling experiences for the crowd, while goody bags including a GAME PSN voucher and merchandise will be handed out. Also first in the queue will receive one whole year’s supply of PS Vita games absolutely free!
As a thank you to the most committed of fans for queuing on the night, invitations to an exclusive after-party at the PlayStationVita Rooms at 80 Oxford Street in London will be given out. There fans will be able to enjoy DJ sets, refreshment and more Vita related merriment. The lucky gamers will also have the opportunity to play new releases and discover what the PlayStationVita has in-store for customers over the next few months.
