Japanese residents maybe in for a reduced price on PS Vita
Amazon Japan began a campaign during the week, involving a ¥2000 discount to customers who bought a PlayStation Vita 3G system with one retail game. The campaign which begun on the 15th February and runs through to the 31st March in Japan, may actually be an official Sony campaign. Several retailers have reported that Sony had given them these instructions to begin the same campaign on the 23rd February. It’s not clear at this point, whether Sony will give publicity to the campaign with an official name and website or if the campaign is being held by retailer themselves. Currently Amazon Japan is still offering this as the first run limited edition, which will include a pre-paid 3G card. The PS Vita system is priced at ¥29,980, but Amazon Japan discounts it to ¥26,707.
