Mass Effect 3 Cannot Import Your Cloud Saves on Xbox 360

Posted by TurtleGirl On March - 6 - 2012

For players to save their Xbox 360 game saves to the cloud is the normal way to back up all your saved game files and reopen them to play on one of your friend’s system. This way you never lose any of your progress or if you just so happen to want to replace your Xbox 360 system in the future,  you can do so without losing vital data.

However, the cloud has encountered some major problems for the new release of Mass Effect 3. Players who managed to save files could then transfer important data to the their Mass Effect 2 game. Unfortunately Mass Effect 3 is completely unable to recognize Mass Effect 2 save files, if they happen to be stored in the cloud.

While Mass Effect 3 supports cloud saving for new or successfully imported Mass Effect 2 saves, it does not support the importation of endgame saves directly from the cloud. Additionally, this can cause it to not recognize save files that have been transferred via cloud to a console other than the one where they originated.
