The Norwegian trial of Anders Breivik has kicked off, with live coverage from BBC News, and already the prosecution have brought up World of Warcraft.
It is already known that Anders Breivik, the man who has admitted to murdering 77 people in Norway last year, was a World of Warcraft player. However, the fact that the prosecution has already brought up his gaming habits and tried to explain World of Warcraft to the court, which they described as a “violent” game, does not cast the game in a good light to those who do not understand gaming as a hobby. Apparently it has not ended there, but will be discussed in more detail later in the trial.
They even showed a picture of Breivik’s in-game character.
