Sony Computer Entertainment have announced ‘Nasne‘, which is a network recorder and media storage device, which has built in CS/BS tuner and a 500GB Hard Drive. The PlayStation 3 peripheral is different from the Torne, and has DVR capabilities. It’s a standalone device that connects via your home network and enables you to share programs that you’ve recorded on your PlayStation 3, PS3, Vita, Vaio, Sony Tablet and Xperia.
The device enables you to stream two devices similtanously. Nasne supports Sonet Entertainment G programming guide, which will also power Torne. Accessing Nansne from your PlayStation 3 or PlayStation Vita, requires special apps.
You’ll need the version 4.0 of the Torne viewing app for PlayStation 3. The PS3 can register up to four Nasne recorders. You’ll need the Vita app titled ‘Torne for PS Vita’ too. Torne and Nasne will both allow you to transfer videos to PSP and Vita for viewing on the go.Nasne will be released on the 19th July, priced at ¥16,980.
