Is this LEGO Meets GTA, ok, perhaps not but LEGO City Undercover does look very interesting on the Wii U GamePad. For the very first time, you’ll watch as LEGO vehicles and playsets actually come to life on the new console. No guarantees that they won’t have missing heads though and there won’t be any digging forever looking for the odd window and tree in a LEGO bucket.
Players take the role of uncover detective, Chase McCain, who is a LEGO detective with a number of disguises. Your mission is to stop the fiendish Rex Fury and end his wave of crime happening in LEGO City. Players will be able to run, drive and fly through the city and the Wii U GamePad will act as your very own police gadget.
As detective, you’ll need to be on the look out for hidden clues and criminals deep in LEGO City, you’ll receive mission updates, and place waypoints on a overhead city map that will display their position in real time. Players will encounter very familiar play sets as they come to life, and you’ll look for clues to bring Rex Fury finally to justice.
As LEGO detective, you’ve got a number of different disguises, including a firefighter, a construction worker and even a robber. You’ll use their special abilities to solve the puzzles and access new areas of LEGO City.
There are more 100 vehicles for you to drive around in and collect, and you can use sports cars, motorbikes and even aircraft within the game. Take a hop, skip and jump to check out the trailer. What’s not to love about this LEGO game, it’s studtastic!
