The Anime News Network have confirmed today that the Persona 4 The Animation – The Factor of Hope film ends with footage of the Persona 3 game’s protagonist holding a gun to his head, firing and then saying that production on a theatrical film version of the Persona 3 game has been given the all clear for production.
 

However, the announcement did not verify whether the Persona 3 film would be an anime, although the footage shown was traditional 2D animation.
