PS Vita Knock-Off Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Posted by TurtleGirl On July - 24 - 2012

Are we seeing double again? It seems that Chinese companies can’t do enough to produce knock-off video game console hardware just recently. Only last week did we see the replica Nintendo 3DS XL and now it appears the chinese are at it again, by producting this Android based PS Vita duplicate.

This little handheld is called the ‘Droid X360‘ and it currently runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It looks like a PS vita and even sounds like one, but this little number has nine built-in emulators for the Nintendo 64, Sony PlayStation, Game Boy Advance, Game boy Color, NES/FC, SNES, SEGA Mega Drive and SEGA Game Gear.

It comes installed with Android 4.0.4, 1.5GHz processor, a 5 inch touch screen, a micro SD slot, mini USB port, 2 mega pixel camera on the front and back. Funnily enough it’s got two analog sticks, but features the Android logo plastered on the back of the handheld. I’m not too sure Sony would be happy about this new little handheld that’s appeared on the grid, but I don’t think it’s going to put an end to the replica’s that keep appearing on the horizon.
