During the weekend, some gamers received a special code from EA by way of thanks for completing a survey that had been sent out to them. The special code that they received enabled them to download a free game from Origin, Electronic Arts online store for PC games.
However, there was a bit of a blunder on EA’s part as it was quickly discovered the code that had been sent out to the lucky gamers, could be used to download as many free games as they wanted. A shortime later, intially after the codes were sent out, news travelled fast via the community website Reddit, that not only did they work with any US or Canadian Origin account holder, it could be used to download multiple games for free. This resulted in EA’s online store spending the weekend handing out thousands of free games to people, before the loophole was shut down.
