Futurlab, developers of the brilliant PlayStation Mini title Velocity, sent out a press release earlier today announcing a deal with PlayStation. But it is the hidden message that has left us wondering…
Futurlab have signed a deal with Sony that will see the platform holder providing funds for the development of content for PlayStation Vita in 2013, with the studio keeping control of its IP.
James Marsden, FuturLab’s Managing Director said:
“We’re incredibly excited to be working closely with PlayStation over the next year, bringing our particular brand of twitchy fun to the PS Vita. Sony has provided a great package that means we retain full control of our IP, which is a perfect deal for us.”
Shahid Ahmad, Senior Business Development Manager at SCEE added:
“We’re particularly pleased to be working with FuturLab to bring new and exciting games to PlayStation Vita. FuturLab has a unique and fun approach to entertainment and we see their games as being a fantastic addition to the ever growing catalogue of PS Vita games.”
Well, that’s great news. But the press release was finished by James Marsden with the phrase “The devil is in the details” and on closer inspection, a hidden message was found pointing to www.fanpoweredflight.net. Heading to this website reveals a selection of what look like usernames and the phrase “You Asked For It”, with a countdown timer pointing to some time on Friday afternoon. What does it all mean? No idea, but I am looking forward to finding out…
